1. What made you decide to work with Diane? Was there an obvious advantage or anything specific that made her stand out in some way?

It was around my second year of University that I really fell victim to some bad ways of thinking, dwelled on some negative aspects of my life, and ultimately felt lost. It was not a happy time, and I have always been an exceptionally happy person from a wonderful home. I had no desire to medicate myself, and with an aunt that had always practiced holistic medicine, I had some different avenues to explore that I felt would benefit my whole way of living.

The funny thing is, from the very first consultation and session with Diane I felt as though I was in the right place. I had experienced the BodyTalk System before and had worked with another practitioner in Kingston (my home town). The experience was nice, but when I returned back to Toronto I felt a push to find someone that I could work with locally. Upon calling a couple of people, I didn’t feel as though I was heading in the right direction with what I wanted to accomplish within myself – that is until I became aware of Diane, and immediately felt as though I was on a path that felt right.

2. What was life like before working with Diane?

Life before Diane was uncertain in an unpleasant way. Opportunity was clouded with worry, regret blinded ambition, and while I knew what I wanted to do with my life, I felt somewhat hopeless and frustrated in the pursuit of my dreams instead of electrically charged and motivated to enjoy the process of discovering them.

3. How has working with Diane helped?

It’s as though I have my hands on the reigns – not as though I’m in control of everything outside of myself, but as though I’m able to steer and navigate through anything that comes my way – and that’s a very powerful, positive feeling. Instead of wandering through my days, I feel like I’m moving towards something, while still enjoying the surprises that come my way.

4. Tell us more about the process and how you worked it through.

I believe it took about a year, maybe less, to work through some old belief systems and crystallized ideas about myself and my environment – some of which were inherent, and others that were just shaped throughout my life. It was always a calming process, for a half hour every two weeks initially, then every month or so until I really felt my best. I combined Diane’s work with daily meditation and saw amazing results in a remarkably short amount of time. The breakthrough was when I was able to just be comfortable and at ease – without focusing on whether or not I was being at ease in a given situation.

5. What is it about working with Diane that you find most valuable?

There are so many benefits to working with Diane. I feel as though Diane has really acted as a spiritual mentor for me, having taught me in addition to being mindful, practices that I can use to enhance my entire life. Even after not seeing Diane for (sometimes) months at a time, whenever I return for an appointment it always feels as though we’re picking up right where we last left off.

6. What have you learned about yourself?

I think that one major thing I’ve learnt about myself is that I’m really at peace when I’m being productive. There were past tendencies to let things pile up, or if there was one of these big piles the tendency was to view it as a whole, instead of the individual tasks that needed to be done. In being productive and focusing on incremental goals, I’ve really found that opportunities come my way frequently.

7. What have been your biggest insights/light bulb moments from working with Diane?

With each visit I find that I make an interesting discovery about myself – often times these discoveries are things that would have never occurred to me.

I remember a significant occasion early in my work with Diane, where I was dealing with a large brain crystal that I had created over the years. In brief, a brain crystal can be equated to a lump of coal as a negative thought. A lump of coal is easy to break apart, but when heavily compressed (or affirmed) over and over it becomes a diamond (or crystal). These kinds of ideas that have been affirmed to the point that they are common place within someone’s structure, can take time to break down. On one particular visit, I remember when the crystal was finally broken down. The negative affirmation was to do with relationships, and Diane was able to locate the core of the bad affirmation as being attached to a particular relationship that I had when I was seventeen. For Diane to be able to pin-point something so specific was incredible – and when she did, my body that had felt generally depressed, felt the warmest wave of euphoria come over it. It was really the turning point for me in my treatment and in life.

8. What are you working on now? What is life like now?

I’m a freelance writer/director. Often times when I come in to visit Diane now, we focus on opening up the channels in my mind to accept more and more ideas. I meditate daily on this sentiment, and now find myself in pre-production with a new short film, I’ve recently sold another script, am working on a feature film idea and have regular employment with the Discovery Channel. My life is rich and busy. I have a beautiful girlfriend that I live with and have been with for going on two years, and I couldn’t be happier.

9. What is the single most important benefit that you’ve achieved from working with Diane?

More than anything else, Diane has helped shape the way that I open myself up to life. Since working with Diane, I find that my ambition has become very focused and I’m achieving goals that may at one time have seemed too difficult to grasp at.

10. What do you think life is going to be like in the future after today?

I feel as though I’m just starting to reap the benefits of staying spiritually and mentally fit, while appreciating what I have, and what I would like to strive towards. I’m confident that for now and days to come I will experience a rich, fulfilling life, working towards career and personal goals and enjoying the ride.

11. What would you like to celebrate?

Really what I would like to celebrate is the expansion of Diane’s practice. I know that I am not the only person whose life Diane has touched – and our success stories are a testament to how wonderful the experience of working with Diane can be. I hope that others read this and are inspired to work with Diane as she has been a milestone in my personal development and enjoyment of life!
