1. What made you decide to work with Diane? Was there an obvious advantage or anything specific that made her stand out in some way?

I was introduced to BodyTalk through a friend in Vancouver, initially as a means of exploring increasingly difficult issues with claustrophobia. My preference to approach health/life concerns from a root cause, holistic angle seemed to meld perfectly with BodyTalk principles. In my very first session, a repressed memory of childhood trauma surfaced and following a few remote sessions, the practitioner suggested it might be more convenient for me to find someone to work with locally (in Toronto). She directed me to a website,, where I found Diane.

Fundamentally I was hoping to find someone geographically desirable with a strong BodyTalk background and shared health philosophy. I hit the jackpot! Diane is all of that and so much more. Hers was the first name that caught my attention and upon reading her profile and seeing her photo, I knew intuitively that she would be the right choice. I was drawn in by Diane’s beautifully, kind face and connected with every word of her bio… “Waterloo”, “Eastern and Western medicine”, “completed… most advanced training available in BodyTalk”, “Naturopathic Doctor”, “reduce number of supplements”, “clear away conditioning and old patterns to allow for true healing”, “increased peace and focused direction”, “complement to other conventional medical treatments”, “extremely low incidence of side effects, interactions, complications”. Not one profile that I explored afterwards (I believe in thorough research!) intrigued me even remotely as much.

The potential “perfect fit” hooked me; the exceeded expectations keep me coming back.

I would also like to note that I have experienced BodyTalk with three different practitioners. The connection I feel with Diane is by far the strongest, her approach the most comfortable fit with my goals and values.

2. What was life like before working with Diane?

I’ve always had an interest in philosophy, quantum physics and naturopathy. According to the basic principles of those disciplines and for the most part, I thought I was doing relatively okay – meeting life’s challenges adequately, moving forward with some measure of enlightenment and personal direction. When infertility issues took root, they gave light to marriage troubles and triggered an examination of self at a more fundamental level than I had ever experienced previously. I began to feel intensely confused, fearful, stuck, sad – completely drained and directionless.

3. How has working with Diane helped?

For me, Diane is the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. She has brought me back to life – skilfully coaching me along a bumpy, painful, enlightening and profoundly satisfying path to realizing my true, ultimate self. Diane helped me locate, face and gain deeper understanding of core issues with greater precision than I could possibly hope to achieve on my own, while pointing me in the direction of resolve and healing. Her remedies and counsel always hit the mark. I am certainly healthier now, my focus more defined, momentum increasingly fervent.

In Diane, I’ve found a true mentor with the best mix of exemplary knowledge, insight, compassion and humour. She is a gift and I genuinely appreciate her positive influence in my life.

4. Tell us more about the process and how you worked it through.

First, I’ve learned that focusing on awareness is key. Simply recognizing what’s happening to my body and mind in any given situation helps to identify triggers and reprogram reactions.

Second, I understand that breathing properly is a vital part of the process. An effective breath lends pause to hold panic at bay and allows perspective to align before reality can be skewed by fear. It gives me a chance to choose reactions instead of just experiencing them.

Third, I now know that I must treat myself with sincere compassion – pave the way of progress with love and understanding.

Most importantly, it is essential to set my know-it-all, controlling ego aside and trust my inner voice so that I may meet each step openly – exactly as it presents itself, in its own time.

To get to this level of understanding has taken a long time, much effort, many reminders (even when I thought I knew this stuff already!) and a sense of humour. Not to mention, an excellent coach! However; the phrase “knowing it, is only half the battle”, plays frequently in my brain loop. Consistent practice is the tricky part.

I am a huge fan of learning in all forms so I find this process awe-inspiring (how does Diane nail it so precisely?!), humbling (guess I need to spend more time on that issue again!), motivating (check that, what’s next?!) and gratifying (wow, I’m actually getting somewhere!).

5. What is it about working with Diane that you find most valuable?

Diane’s precision in getting quickly to the heart of the matter goes beyond intuition and insight. It’s an amazing gift. Certainly, not just anyone can do what she does.

I am also grateful for the fact that she never fails to make me feel thoughtfully and thoroughly taken care of as well as properly directed, confident and motivated.

6. What have you learned about yourself?

I have the technology – I can rebuild me. I need assistance to tweak a few details, maybe an upgrade or two, a little TLC and certainly some on-going back-up, but it’s actually doable!

7. What have been your biggest insights/light bulb moments from working with Diane?

Every session with Diane produces a significant light bulb moment. I think my favourite one is when I learned that I already have, within myself, all the love and approval that I really need. It wasn’t so much that this was new information; it was more so Diane’s delivery of the message that had the impact. Her clarity, assurance and kindness made me actually believe it – finally empowered me to release the burdensome “shoulds”.

8. What are you working on now? What is life like now?

Essentially, I am honing my true purpose and working on becoming the best me that I can be. In the process, I am trying to heal from past wounds, improve physical health and tap into my spirituality on a more meaningful level. My goal is to live a fuller, more balanced life with greater compassion, stronger relationships and a true sense of satisfaction with daily activity. My specific priorities are to mend my marriage and re-energize my creativity through a new position in the Interior Design field. “Letting go” is the constant and dominant theme of the work I do with Diane.

At the moment, I feel like I’m on my way, but there is much to do. I get frustrated when progress seems slow and when I repeat unproductive patterns. Maintaining focus is sometimes a challenge. With Diane’s direction, I try to give myself a break while willingly and enthusiastically doing the work, taking the remedies, focusing on truth and awareness – realizing, of course, that this journey is a life-long commitment.

9. What is the single most important benefit that you’ve achieved from working with Diane?

Diane has instilled in me the sense that I am on the right path – with direction, purpose and the ability to navigate successfully.

10. What do you think life is going to be like in the future after today?

I hope my future will centre on the continuous realization of my healthy, authentic self, achieving balance in life and maintaining meaningful connections with others.

11. What would you like to celebrate?

Awareness. Truth. Progress.
