1. What made you decide to work with Diane? Was there an obvious advantage or anything specific that made her stand out in some way?
It was kind of like blind fate, literally “I didn’t know what I got myself into”. I was suggested to see Diane by my past manager because I was going through a very trying time in my life. He knew of Diane because his own wife was one of Diane’s clients. I am grateful that he made such an off hand suggestion because in the end it was Diane who got me through some of the grief that he subjected me to at work and many other issues.
I think things just fell into place, it was the right time in my life to get help and I happened to meet the right person to do the job. Diane’s special ability to empathize an emotion or a situation is amazing. She can help me get my words and emotions out into the conscious plane to help me understand why I am reacting a certain way.
2. What was life like before working with Diane?
I was trying to find a new footing after my life went through a 180 degree change. Within a 2 month period, I chose to change my career, moved into my new home with my then boyfriend of 5 years but unexpectedly he walked out on our relationship on Christmas Eve. All of this happened, in addition to my unstable relationship with my family. It was a 9.0 earthquake that hit me during the Christmas holiday. I was ready for the changes I chose to go through, but the change in the relationship department came from the left field. I went through several months of darkness looking for answers, looking for rhyme and reason in my life, until meeting Diane and was shown a pin size hole of light at the end of a long tunnel.
3. How has working with Diane helped?
There’s a lot more clarity in my mind and in my life. Everything seems more manageable, although challenging at times. At times, I feel like I’m talking to a good friend who’s wise and is always there when I need a positive comment or some tough love. I know I’ve been lucky to have met Diane and Melanie; people who are gifted and enjoy doing what they do in life.
4. Tell us more about the process and how you worked it through.
Through BodyTalk, acupuncture, the use of flower essences and simply talking, Diane has put a lot of things into perspective for me. At times, it’s just like, “Thank you for reading my mind” because I just had this gut feeling but just couldn’t put my finger on it!
5. What is it about working with Diane that you find most valuable?
It’s hard to choose one single thing but if I really have to choose, I’d say meeting myself. It’s through our sessions that I stopped and finally started to learn about myself and my ways. Diane is very patient and tries to explain thoughts and ideas in different ways until I come to a clearer understanding of our discussion.
6. What have you learned about yourself?
A LOT!! I didn’t realize I never properly met myself; the fog that I was living in started to clear after a few sessions with Diane. I’m learning how to trust myself, and about self-love and self-worth. I know I have the strength to accomplish anything and everything that’s in front of me (but of course I do forget this sometimes). There are obstacles that I’ve overcome unknowingly and should give myself credit for on a daily basis. I can be the one and only road block in my life path, if I maintain a certain unhealthy mind frame.
7. What are you working on now? What is life like now?
I’m working on moving forward and looking back less frequently. There are days where I know I’ve taken a few steps back but when I correct myself, I know I’m learning from past lessons. If I do make the same mistakes, its okay, no one’s perfect. As long as I recognize the mistake and learn from the lesson and correct the mistake, I’ve done well!
Life is lighter now. The ups and downs are less dramatic, less traumatic. It’s easier for me to recognize when things or events are getting out of hand and I know I have the ability to change it. I feel less helpless, more helpful.
8. What is the single most important benefit that you’ve achieved from working with Diane?
Feeling enlightened about myself, my life, from a conscious and subconscious level.
9. What do you think life is going to be like in the future after today?
Onwards and upwards. I picture my life path as a circular spiral that widens at the top, so as long as I’m walking uphill towards openness I don’t mind revisiting a mistake here or there. I know things will get better and easier. There will be times where I’ll repeat my past mistakes but I will hopefully recognize them as they happen or soon after the fact. I will recognize my mistake, forgive myself and move on. It’s reassuring when people around me say I’ve changed and become less cynical or negative in my ways.
10. What would you like to celebrate?
I would like to celebrate LOVE and HAPPINESS. Emotions that everyone deserves to experience to the fullest in clarity.
